Romantic, sensual, silken, sexy and sultry.....some of the words used in describing Chris Botti's music. And every one is true. But we also need to add "articulate" and "eloquent". His trumpet has a voice of its own and speaks to the listener, creating an intimacy felt by everyone in the audience as if personally delivered.

Watch his hands when playing; they move gently and lovingly on the trumpet. No wonder his music can reach that quiet, private place within each of us. This is an artist, clear and confident of his journey, and eager to share it with all of us.

Chris Botti has an impressive resume - tutelage under Woody Shaw, B.L.U.E, recording and touring with some of the best vocalists in the industry such as Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Sting.

But throughout this journey he kept true to his vision, using the varied influences to further his own dreams

He has five CD's (including a Christmas release) and a film score. Each one is fabulous and builds on this remarkable sound

For me music is tied to dancing. Music plays and I start moving. Even when I must remain seated I can wiggle enough to make those around me crazy. But when Chris Botti plays I stay still (well, somewhat!). I would much rather listen.

There have been some comparisons with earlier artists. It would be impossible not to be influenced by the earlier masters. But Chris Botti's style is unique to him alone, instantly recognizable and memorable. Just as the artist himself.
